Well, back to my night job of trying to make money online. The blog is indexed now on google. My first post was two weeks ago, so it took two weeks to get indexed, but I didn't write any articles for a while. The first article that I wrote about my website was about one week ago. So, taking that into consideration I figure that it took about a week to get indexed on google. The site is still not indexed on yahoo but google is the search engine that really matters.
The next step is to try and get my site higher up in the search for making money online. I know this may take a while, but I think it is good practice for other sites and blogs. Once I get the hang of blogging and some of these techniques, I will be moving on. I'm planning on keeping this site going to track progess of different online money techniques, so we can find out what work and what doesn't.
In each post you'll notice that I try to use my keywords relatively frequently. This is one major aspect of getting ranked in search engines. Whatever search engine is looking at you needs to know what your site is all about. If you are trying to base a blog around techniques for money making and just take about dog grooming never mentioning the main purpose you are out of luck. Your site will get picked up for dog grooming and not for the reason you wanted.
Another good technique I've noticed is starting and ending each post with you keywords. You should also bold those keywords at least once per post. These are different things that search engines look at and notice when crawling through your site.
Well, that's it for now. I've got to get to some other things. Actually, I need to relax a little. Going to watch a movie. Writing Articles
Well, here I am again still just trying to get my site indexed so that I might be able to make some money online. I might have to do a little more research about getting a site indexed quickly on google. It doesn't really matter how many keywords or how optimized your website is if the search engines do not even have your site in their system. Before I try anymore to make my site better, I am just going to try and figure out how to get indexed. If no one can see my site then how am I supposed to ever make any money.
For now, I am trying to write one article a day on a article service. Most services allow you to post a link back to your website. Some of the article sites take several days in order to decide if they want to post what you wrote so I won't get any backlinks to my site right away. If it ends up working, I will post the different sites that uploaded my articles so that you know which ones work and which do not work.
Keep checking back with me in order see if I have made any money. I will keep you posted.

Money Making Experiment - 1st Step
Well, I've been going at this online money making thing for a little over a week. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to work on the blog quite as much as I would want. Not being able to post and draw traffic directly affects making any money using this blog, but I'll fill in the details on what I've done so far and how it's working (or not working).
On the last post, I mentioned that I was following a blog and I have done all the directions in the first five lessons about making money online and this blog still hasn't even gotten indexed. If you are reading this post it is probably in the future and I've figured some more things. In defense of the blog http://beginner-blogger-basics.blogspot.com, a lot of the directions are several years old and the author even mentions that.
Don't worry though, I have not given up trying to make some MONEY using different online systems. I'm going to continue to follow the blog until I get to some of the newer directions and we'll see how it works. I have been looking at several other options, but first I want to see how the blogging stuff works out for me.
The biggest first step is getting indexed by google (and other search engines). Getting indexed means that your website or blog is in their database so it can actually be found. For example if I want to see if my blog is indexed, I type in the exact address http://followmemakingmoneyonline.blogspot.com. If the address is in google's database then google will return it as a result otherwise it will say that your search returned no results. I am in the no result boat right now, but oh well.
I've set up the blog trying to use all the appropriate keywords which you can probably figure out involve making money using the internet. I have also posted one article on goarticles.com to try and start getting backlinks. Today, I am going to continue testing more methods from the blog and writing some articles on other websites. I'll let you know what happens when anything happens.

Starting the Money Experiment
Well, I started a blog to try and experiment making money online. I have a good job that makes pretty good money and has decent benefits, but like a lot of people I believe there is more out there for me. Internet marketing and business interests me and there is huge opportunity to make money online.
So there I was one night trying to think about interesting ideas and just for fun I went to google and typed in making money online. It's impressive "how easy" it is to make tons of money (millions of dollars) online. That was sarcasm in case you didn't notice. When I searched about making money on the internet, there were tons of ads offering to teach me how to make thousands of dollars of month for free. When I opened those sites and read, they talked all about how easy it was and about how they would give me a great deal to teach me how to make money using websites and such.
Luckily, I didn't just fall for all the fakes out there. Actually that is the question I want to answer. Which money making ideas and sites really work and which do not.
The first step was to find a legitimate site that teaches how to make money online and follow their instructions. The blog is to document what I am doing and whether it works. Also, if the instructions work and I am able to make money, I want to document exactly how much money I can make online. If a website offers to help me make ten thousand dollars a month and I can make ten dollars than I am making money but not what was advertised.
Free stuff is always better than expensive stuff so I started off with a blog. I found this blog about making money for beginners and started there. The writer Grizzly does a great job of explaining all the different aspects of starting up a blog to make money. Grizzly explains how to make money using a blog and includes how to get ranked high in search engines which is essential for making any money at all.

Online Money Making Experiment
Welcome to my new experiment "Follow Me Making Money Online". What is the experiment that I am talking about? Well, like everyone out there I am all about making it on my own. To do that, I have researched a lot about making money online. There are a lot of opportunities out there as you can see if you google the term Making Money Online. I have always been told it it sounds too good to be true than it is and I don't actually believe that the programs out there could make me thousands of dollars a month with little to no effort, but there are a lot of people out there that make plenty of money online. I want my piece of that money or at least put forth a good effort.
Hopefully I'm able make a few bucks (a little extra money never hurt anyone), learn something, and maybe have some fun. I've always been interested in the web and I've actually borrowed (from the library for free) several books on web design. There's a lot to learn and a lot of money to be made with web design, but I figure I'll start out smaller with a blog and work my way up. If this works, maybe some other people can also follow my steps and help themselves make some good money online as well.
Now, let's MAKE SOME MONEY!!
